She received a scholarship to swim on the school team, finishing her swimming career with over 15 years of experience. Rachel knew she was interested in working with athletes, as well as others, and their injuries, always trying to help them manage pain in safe and healthy ways. She was awarded for both athletic and academic success, including two-time All American, Most Valuable Player, inducted into Alpha Chi National Honours Society, and multiple President’s Awards. After graduation she attended the National Academy of Osteopathy and received a Diploma of Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP) where she trained in osteoarticular techniques, muscle energy techniques, soft tissue therapy, cranial osteopathy , and visceral manipulation which are applied for each patient’s needs. She is very eager to learn and experience new things as she continues to educate herself, most recently in pain assessment and management helping her to better understand, assess, and create a plan for patients. Rachel also treats patients for wellness, for those who don’t have any pain but are in need of some relaxation!
